A message from our Chair, Janis Byrne

Janice_Byrne-20190114-008-EditThe St. John’s Board of Trade is the most influential and recognized business association in Newfoundland and Labrador, and it is a great privilege to serve as the 2019 Chair. The Board of Trade is an organization with a long and proud tradition that was started because people in the community saw a need. Today, you need your Board of Trade more than ever. There is a need to advocate on business issues and help government understand the importance of the business community.  There is a need to provide access to opportunities; and, our members get that through networking events.

Whatever your needs are, the Board of Trade offers solutions. We value your involvement because we are your business associates, your suppliers, and your customers. The Board also values your involvement because it strengthens our voice when we advocate for your issues to municipal, provincial, and federal levels of government. Getting involved in the St. John’s Board of Trade is a rewarding experience for your business. Meet new people. Make new contacts. Make your business grow. It is all part of being involved in this great organization. If there is something the Board’s many enthusiastic volunteers or dedicated staff can do to help you find more success in your business life, please let us know. We look forward to working with you.
